Punting for Gold – GW22

Draft Fantasy Football is all about picking a diamond from the rough, a hidden gem that no one else has considered, or a Premier League player hitting a good run of form.  This weekly article is here to help you find your golden ticket to a big score, recommending five attacking differentials who could score big in the upcoming gameweek.

Your third striker just got injured?  Your fifth midfielder stuck in rotation hell?  We’ll help you out with some suggestions to give your team a little boost!

Andre Ayew (West Ham Utd)

The Ghanaian has been in and out of the side recently, but he’s definitely worth a punt ahead of West Ham’s double gameweek.  Ayew will maybe only start one of the games, but he’ll be involved in both due to an injury potentially keeping Antonio sidelined, and Hernandez and Carroll currently not favoured.

Points Scored: 1

Erik Lamela (Tottenham Hotspur)

Our Tottenham punt for the double gameweek is Erik Lamela, who has been pushing for a start in recent weeks.  Again, we’re thinking he’ll start only one of the games, but he’s worth a punt as a route into the Spurs attack.  If he gets the start against Swansea he could score big.  The Argentinean will surely feature in both of Tottenham’s games during their double gameweek.

Points Scored: 6

Shinji Okazaki (Leicester City)

The Japanese international has an incredible goals per minute ratio this season, and he looks set to start the fixture at home to Huddersfield in GW22 having sat out the game at Liverpool.  Okazaki will get plenty of chances to score, and there is a strong possibility he’ll do just that against The Terriers.

Points Scored: 2

Aaron Mooy (Huddersfield Town)

Mooy is one we’ve been watching for a while, although he’s had a quiet few games since bagging a brace in GW18.  Leicester have only kept one clean sheet in their last ten games, so it’s highly likely Huddersfield will score at The King Power stadium.  The Australian will surely be involved.

Points Scored: 2

Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

With Kevin De Bruyne and Jesus out injured, and David Silva likely to miss out again, Pep is running out of options.  Bernardo Silva has started the last two games, and could be called upon to provide the creative spark at home to Watford in GW22.  Worth a shot, and if De Bruyne has a serious injury, he will be more chances over the coming weeks!
