Chaps Choices – GW19

We bring to you a new format for our weekly blog posts… Chaps Choices!!  This article combines our two standard weekly blogs, Calculating The Cleanie and Punting For Gold, to create a starting eleven of Premier League Draft Fantasy Football differential picks!

Whether you play Draft Fantasy or Fantrax platforms, this article is here to give you hints and tips to help you find your golden ticket to a big score.  We recommend a team of Draft Fantasy differentials and Fantrax differentials who could score big in the upcoming gameweek.

We use the ownership statistics as per Draft Fantasy and Fantrax with the rules being each player we highlight is required to have ownership of 35% or below on DFF, and 65% or below on Fantrax.  That way there’s a good chance each player will be a free agent in your Draft Fantasy Football League!  Use these suggestions to give your team a little boost with a one week Punt!

Draft Fantasy Starting Eleven:

**35% ownership or below**

GW19 DFF

FWD: Danny Ings

Team:  Southampton

Opponent:  West Ham (Home)

Ownership:  29% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  Ings is on fire right now.  Since returning from injury he’s scored three goals in two GWs.  If he’s available you have to sign him!!  Southampton look a completely different prospect under Hasenhuttl, and Ings has a chance to get back to his best.  The Englishman has risen to the top of the pile for strikers in our Hot List.

GW19 Points Scored:  2

FWD: Daniel Sturridge

Team:  Liverpool

Opponent:  Newcastle (Home)

Ownership:  24% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  We are expecting some rotation in the attacking department for Liverpool this GW and Sturridge to be the main beneficiary from this.  Firmino has been quiet the last two GWs so the fixture against Newcastle could be the ideal game to give Sturridge game time.  Firmino, or Mane or Salah for that matter, may be rested for the GW20 clash with Arsenal.  Christmas is the time to take a punt on players like Sturridge!

GW19 Points Scored:  1

MID: Erik Lamela

Team:  Spurs

Opponent:  Bournemouth (Home)

Ownership:  24% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects: If there is to be any rotation in the Spurs team from GW18, we expect Lamela to benefit and come into the side.  He was introduced at half time in GW18 when the match was in the balance; the confidence shown in him by Poch should give Draft Fantasy Football managers confidence that Lamela will get some game time.  With Son off to the Asian Cup in the New Year, Lamela is a decent longer term option!

GW19 Points Scored:  0

MID: Luka Milivojevic

Team:  Crystal Palace

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  34% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects: We said it a few weeks ago, Milivojevic goes weeks without an attacking return and then he’ll go on an attacking return spree!!  He is in red hot form right now, his two goals in two GWs see’s him join our Draft Fantasy Football good form rankings.

GW19 Points Scored:  3

MID: Nathan Redmond

Team:  Southampton

Opponent:  West Ham (Home)

Ownership:  4% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  Has Ralph Hasenhuttl finally brought the best out of the talented Redmond? Only time will tell, but for now he is in form; picking up the ball and running at defences with his express pace.  There will be goals in this GW19 fixture against West Ham and we expect Redmond to add to the two assists and goal he has notched up over the past two GWs.  He’s pretty Hot right now.

GW19 Points Scored:  7

MID: Adama Traore

Team: Wolves

Opponent:  Fulham (Away)

Ownership:  3% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects: Other than Jimenez (50% ownership) and Jota (injured), you can put up a case to sign any of Neves, Moutinho, or Costa for this GW.  We’ve gone with Traore purely because of his pace.  We think that given half a chance he’ll run rings around a Fulham defence that has one clean sheet from eighteen GWs!

GW19 Points Scored:  1

DEF: Victor Lindelof

Team:  Manchester United

Opponent:  Huddersfield (Home)

Ownership:  12% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  Huddersfield are woeful in front of goal at the moment and look to have very little in attacking threat.  Lindelof started Solskjaer’s first game in charge and did well enough to keep his spot.  He could benefit in both the short and long term, as United have a great upcoming schedule for Lindelof to really establish himself.

GW19 Points Scored:  2

DEF: Dejan Lovren

Team:  Liverpool

Opponent:  Newcastle (Home)

Ownership:  24% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  With many key injuries in the Liverpool defence, we expect Lovren to keep his place for GW19 against Newcastle.  Newcastle are hardly the most attacking team in the Premier League; fourteen goals in eighteen GWs!!  We said it a couple of weeks ago, and we’ll say it again, Lovren will be a key player for Liverpool over the Christmas period.

GW19 Points Scored:  15

DEF: Yerry Mina

Team:  Everton

Opponent:  Burnley (Away)

Ownership:  32% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  Having shipped six goals in GW18, we expect Mina to walk back into the Everton side.  Fortunately for Everton they will bounce back against a Burnley side that are struggling in front of goal having scored only six goals in ten GWs.

GW19 Points Scored:  8

DEF: Jeffery Schlupp

Team:  Crystal Palace

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  8% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  Selected for GW18 in midfield and was an influential part of the shock victory against Manchester City.  Having picked up a goal Schlupp offers excellent attacking potential on top of the cleanie against Cardiff.  Any of the Palace backline look to be a good bet here.

GW19 Points Scored:  0

GK: Vicente Guaita

Team:  Crystal Palace

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  2% (Draft Fantasy)

Prospects:  With Hennessey both struggling for form and now injured, Guaita stepped up for GW17 and GW18 with great impact; keeping a clean sheet in GW17.  Cardiff have struggled to score goals on the road so we expect Guaita to be a prime candidate for a cleanie!

GW19 Points Scored:  9

Draft Fantasy GW19 Team Points:  48

Draft Fantasy GW19 Team Average:  4.36 points per player

Draft Fantasy GW19 Team Average Ownership:  18%

Fantrax Starting Eleven (Togga scoring):

**65% ownership or below**

GW19 Fantrax

FWD: Javier Hernandez

Team:  West Ham

Opponent:  Southampton (Away)

Ownership:  64% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Chicharito continues to lead the attack for West Ham and has been in excellent form with two assists and three goals in the last five GWs.  With Southampton conceding nineteen goals in the last eight GWs, you have to go back to GW10 for their last clean sheet.  This game will have goals in it and we expect Chicharito to be right at the forefront.

GW19 Points Scored:  0

FWD: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Team:  Everton

Opponent:  Burnley (Away)

Ownership:  14% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Calvert-Lewin started GW18 and weighed in with an assist, so we think he has done enough to keep his place in the lineup for GW19.  With Burnley up next, who have conceded twenty two goals in ten GWs, we expect Everton to get amongst the goals.  Rotation may play a factor here, but considering Calvert-Lewin’s youthfulness, he may well keep his place in the side.

GW19 Points Scored:  13.5

MID: Solly March

Team:  Brighton

Opponent:  Arsenal (Home)

Ownership:  59% (Fantrax)

Prospects: A strange punt, but Arsenal can’t seem to keep a clean sheet at the moment; having only kept one in the past eleven GWs.  Brighton are not exactly the sharpest in front of goal, but March offers attacking potential averaging 8.17 points per game.

GW19 Points Scored:  7.5

MID: Ander Herrera

Team:  Manchester United

Opponent:  Huddersfield (Home)

Ownership:  34% (Fantrax)

Prospects: Herrera was part of the resounding GW18 win on the road to Cardiff; picking up a goal in the process.  His Fantrax returns are pretty decent, averaging 7.82 points per game.  Looks to be a very good option under Solskjaer!

GW19 Points Scored:  7.5

MID: Victor Camarasa

Team:  Cardiff

Opponent:  Crystal Palace (Away)

Ownership:  46% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Camarasa is always a good shout in Togga scoring formats; in particular the last four GWs averaging 14.75 points per game!  A handy 5th choice midfielder to have floating around the squad!  The Spaniard scored Cardiff’s goal against United in GW18, and has been in our Hot List for a few weeks.

GW19 Points Scored:  8

MID: David Brooks

Team: Bournemouth

Opponent:  Spurs (Away)

Ownership:  51% (Fantrax)

Prospects: A useful asset for any draft fantasy side, Brooks has exceeded all expectations this season having picked up five goals and an assist this season.  Opposition Spurs have been unusually loose in defence this year, shipping seven goals in the last five GWs!  Brooks bagged a brace in GW18.

GW19 Points Scored:  9.5

DEF: Matt Targett

Team:  Southampton

Opponent:  West Ham (Home)

Ownership:  26% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  The Southampton defender is taking his chance having come in for the injured Bertrand.  He performs very well on Togga scoring, and has a chance of attacking returns, as well as a clean sheet at home to West Ham in GW18.  Bring in Targett while you can – Bertrand may be back in the side soon!

GW19 Points Scored:  9

DEF: Yerry Mina

Team:  Everton

Opponent:  Burnley (Away)

Ownership:  44% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Having shipped six goals in GW18, we expect Mina to walk back into the Everton side.  Fortunately for Everton they will bounce back against a Burnley side that are struggling in front of goal having scored only six goals in ten GWs.

GW19 Points Scored:  26.25

DEF: Danny Rose

Team:  Spurs

Opponent:  Bournemouth (Home)

Ownership:  62% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  We expect Rose to be rotated into the lineup for GW19.  Rose averages 8.53 points per game and despite Bournemouth’s in form attack; Rose offers excellent attacking potential.  Surprisingly low ownership for such a talented player – if you can afford to bench him when Davies is due to play, he’s a great asset.

GW19 Points Scored:  12.5

DEF: Jeffery Schlupp

Team:  Crystal Palace

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  10% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Selected for GW18 in midfield and was an influential part of the shock victory against Manchester City.  Having picked up a goal Schlupp offers excellent attacking potential on top of the cleanie against Cardiff.

GW19 Points Scored:  0

GK: Rui Patricio

Team:  Wolves

Opponent:  Fulham (Away)

Ownership:  57% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  The Wolves keep entertains a struggling Fulham side who have been unable to score a goal in two GWs.  Patricio is averaging 6.12 points per game.

GW19 Points Scored:  5.25

Fantrax GW19 Team Points:  99

Fantrax GW19 Team Average:  9 points per player

Fantrax GW19 Average Ownership:  42%
