Fantrax Chaps Choices – GW36

Our weekly Chaps Choices article is here to give you hints and tips to help you find your golden ticket to a big score using our Alternative XI.  We recommend a starting eleven of Premier League Draft Fantasy Football differential picks, who could score big in the upcoming gameweek!

For this article we use the ownership statistics as per Fantrax (using Togga scoring), with the rules being each player we highlight is required to have ownership of 60% or below, at the time of writing.  This way there’s a good chance some of these players will be free agents in your Draft Fantasy Football League.  Use these suggestions to give your team a little boost with a one week punt!

Double GW36!

This is the one that Fantrax managers have been waiting for!!  Eight teams have a Double GW, as Arsenal, Brighton, Man City, Man Utd, Southampton, Tottenham, Watford, and Wolves all feature twice!

Southampton, Watford, and Wolves will be the main targets for us, as these teams have decent fixtures, and plenty of players with under 60% ownership that we could potential tap into!

Fantrax Alternative XI (Togga Scoring):

**60% ownership or below**

Draft Fantasy Football GW36 Fantrax

🐝 FWD: Andre Gray 🐝

Team:  Watford

Opponent:  Southampton (Home) + Wolves (Home)

Ownership:  17% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Deeney’s sending off has come at a great time for us draft managers looking for a sweet differential forward.  Gray looks set to lead the line for Watford during both of their Double GW36 fixtures; at home to Southampton and Wolves.  The Englishman will have plenty of opportunities to add to his tally of five goals so far this season, and he should be a key target for many managers ahead of GW36.

GW36 Points Scored:  29.5

⚪️ FWD: Fernando Llorente ⚪️

Team:  Tottenham

Opponent:  Brighton (Home) + West Ham (Home)

Ownership:  33% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  With Kane out injured, we’ve got Llorente back once again!  The Spaniard won’t start every game whilst Kane is injured, but he’ll start a good amount, and will always have a chance of scoring if he’s playing for Tottenham.  Llorente scored the winning goal in the Champions League and will have high morale going into the next few fixtures!  Brighton and West Ham at home during Tottenham’s Double GW36 – yes please!  Llorente was a substitute during GW35, so he looks set to start the first GW36 fixture against Brighton.  Benteke (44% Fantrax) is a decent alternative target man striker.  Crystal Palace face Everton at home, and Benteke looks set to feature prominently for the rest of the season, as Batshuayi’s loan deal will be ending shortly.  The Belgian forward usually scores well on Togga scoring, and bagged a goal during the 3-2 victory over Arsenal last time around.

GW36 Points Scored:  8

🐝 MID: Will Hughes 🐝

Team:  Watford

Opponent:  Southampton (Home) + Wolves (Home)

Ownership:  34% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Hughes is looking good ahead of the season finale, as he will be desperate to keep up his form ahead of the FA Cup Final, and Pereyra and Deulofeu have been struggling with fitness.  Watford face Southampton and Wolves, both at home, during the Fantrax Double GW36, and Hughes will hopefully score some pretty tasty points.  Snap him up if you can, Watford’s assets look good for the next few games!

GW36 Points Scored:  13

⚪️ MID: Solly March 🔵

Team:  Brighton

Opponent:  Tottenham (Away) + Newcastle (Home)

Ownership:  48% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Brighton are on poor form, but we’re backing March for the Double GW36 as he’s one of their only hopes for survival.  The Englishman somehow bagged 14 points during the 2-0 defeat to Cardiff, followed by 10 points in the 0-0 draw with Wolves… more of the same please!  Brighton face Tottenham and Newcastle in GW36.

GW36 Points Scored:  12

🐺 MID: Leander Dendoncker 🐺

Team:  Wolves

Opponent:  Arsenal (Home) + Watford (Away)

Ownership:  13% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Dendoncker continues to score well, and has incredibly low ownership!  A Double GW36 offers the Belgian a chance to bag a double digit score, as Wolves face Arsenal and Watford.  Our alternative for a steady scoring midfielder here is Hojbjerg (54% Fantrax).  Southampton also have a Double GW36, and the Danish international has a good chance of adding a couple of decent scores to his recent good form.

GW36 Points Scored:  13.5

🏠 MID: Ryan Babel 🏠

Team:  Fulham

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  48% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Babel is one of only two single GW players in our team, as he continues to perform for Fulham despite their poor performances.  Double figure scores in GW33, GW34 and GW35 for the Dutchman – he looks set to perform well once again as Fulham host Cardiff in GW36.  The Cottagers have actually started playing pretty well since their relegation was confirmed… Babel should bring home decent scores for the rest of the season, as he looks to impress fellow Premier League clubs looking for summer signings!  Camarasa (57% Fantrax) lines up against Babel, and is a strong contender for a place in our team from the single GW players.  The Cardiff man is a great Togga scorer, and gained an assist in the GW35 victory over Brighton.

GW36 Points Scored:  19

🔫 DEF: Laurent Koscielny 🔫

Team:  Arsenal

Opponent:  Wolves (Away) + Leicester (Away)

Ownership:  38% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Arsenal gained their first away clean sheet of the season in GW34, so why not back them for their Double GW36?!  The Gunners face Wolves and Leicester, both away, but our boy Koscielny has a good chance of bringing home a good score.  The Frenchman is once again fully fit, and should have a productive end to the season.

GW36 Points Scored:  -3.75

😇 DEF: Jan Bednarek 😇

Team:  Southampton

Opponent:  Watford (Away) + Bournemouth (Home)

Ownership:  12% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Bednarek has been an absolute beast on Togga scoring this season, and is a must have for Fantrax Double GW36!  He’ll surely end the GW with a score of over 20, as Southampton face Watford and Bournemouth.  The Polish centre back still has low ownership, so hopefully you’ll be able to bring him in!  Yoshida (7% Fantrax) is a good alternative here, if a fellow manager has already snapped up Bednarek.

GW36 Points Scored:  7.5

🐝 DEF: Craig Cathcart 🐝

Team:  Watford

Opponent:  Southampton (Home) + Wolves (Home)

Ownership:  19% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  A Double GW36 with fixtures at home to two sides outside of the Top 6?  Yes yes yes.  Watford look good for the Double GW, and Cathcart has a decent chance of bagging a big score.  Southampton are fighting relegation, and Wolves are deflated from their recent FA Cup Semi Final defeat to Watford themselves.  A Watford defender is essential for GW36, and Cathcart is the most nailed on from their back lines.  The Hornets were unlucky not to bring home a GW35 clean sheet against Huddersfield.

GW36 Points Scored:  -1.25

🏠 DEF: Joe Bryan 🏠

Team:  Fulham

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  4% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Bryan is our second single GW player in our GW36 Chaps Choices, as we fully back Fulham as they host Cardiff!  The Cottagers have gained two cleanies in a row, as well as two wins.  Bryan has bagged double figure returns in both of these games, and we’re expecting another one this weekend!  Fulham players look like awesome differentials at the moment; they are actually playing really well!  Chambers (35% Fantrax) is of course a great alternative here.

GW36 Points Scored:  12

😇 GK: Angus Gunn 😇

Team:  Southampton

Opponent:  Watford (Away) + Bournemouth (Home)

Ownership:  11% (Fantrax)

Prospects:  Southampton face Watford and Bournemouth during Double GW36, so not the best of fixture lists.  The Saints, and Gunn, have been playing well in recent weeks though, and the young keeper could gain a double figure return.  Southampton will be disappoitned to have conceded three against Newcastle in GW35!  Patricio (55% Fantrax) is a decent alternative here, as he also has a Double GW36, and should score fairly well over his two fixtures.  Wolves gained a clean sheet in GW35 against Brighton.

GW36 Points Scored:  3.25

GW36 Team Points:  112.75

GW36 Team Average Score:  10.3 points per player

GW36 Average Ownership:  27%
