Our weekly Chaps Choices article is here to give you hints and tips to help you find your golden ticket to a big score using our Alternative XI.  We recommend a starting eleven of Premier League Draft Fantasy Football differential picks, who could score big in the upcoming gameweek!

For this article we use the ownership statistics as per Fantrax (using Togga scoring), with the rules being each player we highlight is required to have ownership of 60% or below, at the time of writing.  This way there’s a good chance some of these players will be free agents in your Draft Fantasy Football League.  Use these suggestions to give your team a little boost with a one week punt!

Uber Differential Edition!!!

For the final gameweek of the season, we’ve decided to do an ‘Uber Differential Edition’ of our Fantrax Chaps Choices!  We’ve picked out an Alternative XI of players with 15% ownership or below!!  Therefore, the vast majority of these players will be free agents in all Draft Leagues; giving you Chaps some sweet differentials to consider ahead of potential all important match-ups and Playoff Finals this weekend!

Fantrax Alternative XI (Togga Scoring):

**15% ownership or below**

Draft Fantasy Football GW38 Fantrax

🔵 FWD: Nathaniel Mendez-Laing 🔵

Team:  Cardiff

Opponent:  Manchester United (Away)

Ownership:  10% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  11.3 (since Mar 30) 🔥🔥🔥

Prospects:  We backed the wrong Cardiff man last weekend in Hoilett; Mendez-Laing bagged a huge score of 28.5 points!  The little known (and little owned) winger now has four double digit returns in a row, and will be looking to end the season on a high as Cardiff face a trip to Old Trafford.  We’re not expecting Cardiff to beat Manchester United, but considering the poor form of The Red Devils, a decent score for Mendez-Laing may be on the cards once again.  Huddersfield striker Grant (4% Fantrax) might be worth a look as an alternative.  The January signing could score as The Terriers face Southampton, but he seems to score fairly well even without attacking returns.

GW38 Points Scored:  31

🔴 FWD: Divock Origi 🔴

Team:  Liverpool

Opponent:  Wolves (Home)

Ownership:  4% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  6.3 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  The man of the moment has incredibly low ownership on Fantrax, and after bagging two goals during the historic 4-0 victory over Barcelona, surely Origi will start once again as Liverpool face a must win game against Wolves in GW38.  The Belgian striker also bagged the winning goal from the bench against Newcastle in GW37, so surely he’ll be given the start. If he’s on the pitch, he’s got a chance of scoring!  Looking elsewhere, Shane Long (23% Fantrax) is on good form, and is facing already relegated Huddersfield at home.  He’s got a decent chance of bagging another goal or two!

GW38 Points Scored:  3

⚒ MID: Mark Noble ⚒

Team:  West Ham

Opponent:  Watford (Away)

Ownership:  13% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  8.5 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  West Ham’s elder statesmen has been putting in some good Togga scoring performances in recent weeks, and is a good alternative to the more attractive pick of Lanzini (42% Fantrax).  Noble has averaged 8.5 points per game since March 30th, gaining two attacking returns in the last three games.  The central midfielder is on penalties, and West Ham face a Watford side who will have on eye on the upcoming FA Cup Final.  Noble could be a great low ownership option this weekend!

GW38 Points Scored:  28

🏠 MID: Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa 🏠

Team:  Fulham

Opponent:  Newcastle (Home)

Ownership:  3% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  7.9 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  Now obviously Babel (59% Fantrax) is the better pick here, as he’s averaged an amazing 12.9 points per game since March 30th.  But we’re looking at huge differentials this week, so Fulham team mate Anguissa gets the nod due to his 3% ownership.  The Fulham midfielder has actually averaged 7.9 points per game in recent weeks, and is therefore a very decent prospect as The Cottagers face Newcastle at home on the final day of the season.

GW38 Points Scored:  3.5

🐶 MID: Juninho Bacuna 🐶

Team:  Huddersfield

Opponent:  Southampton (Away)

Ownership:  3% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  5.7 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  The little known Huddersfield midfielder has been putting in some decent displays this season, and has scored 8+ points on multiple occasions.  Bacuna gained 8 points during the 1-1 draw with Manchester United in GW37, and we’re backing him to bring home a similar score this weekend as Huddersfield face a trip to Southampton.  The Terriers are building towards next season in the Championship, and the 21 year old will surely be one of their key players next season.  Bacuna will be looking to put in another solid display, to ensure he’s at the forefront of Siewart’s thinking for the new campaign.  Team mate Mbenza (1% Fantrax) could be a decent alternative; he’s been playing regularly, and bagged his sides goal in GW37.

GW38 Points Scored:  0.5

⚪️ MID: Christian Atsu ⚫️

Team:  Newcastle

Opponent:  Fulham (Away)

Ownership:  2% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  4.2 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  Atsu has started the last two games for Newcastle, after injuries to his team mates.  The pacey Ghanaian winger bagged a goal against Liverpool in GW37, and brought home 17.5 points for his efforts.  This weekend Newcastle face already relegated Fulham, and Atsu has a decent chance of bagging another good score.  He’s worth a punt, and could earn decent points despite his extremely low ownership!

GW38 Points Scored:  8.5

👹 MID: Scott McTominay 👹

Team:  Manchester United

Opponent:  Cardiff (Home)

Ownership:  8% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  7.5 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  The Manchester United youngster has performed well in recent weeks, as he’s been given more opportunities as the season draws to a close.  McTominay scored United’s only goal in GW37, and he looks set to start once again as they face Cardiff on the final day of the season.  The young midfielder has averaged 7.5 points per game in recent weeks, and another decent score is easily achievable.  An alternative here is Loftus-Cheek (54% Fantrax), who has been on amazing points scoring form since March 30thRLC also bagged a goal for The Blues in GW37.  They face Leicester this weekend.

GW38 Points Scored:  7.5

😇 DEF: Jan Bednarek 😇

Team:  Southampton

Opponent:  Huddersfield (Home)

Ownership:  15% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  6.1 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  Bednarek has actually been pretty disappointing in recent weeks, as his average points per game has fallen to 6.1 points since March 30th.  This weekend he has a chance to rectify his dip in form, as The Saints face already relegated Huddersfield at home.  Southampton have been conceding a fair few goals in recent weeks, after they were confirmed as safe from relegation. We’re backing them for a clean sheet this weekend though, and hopefully Bednarek will bring home a big score to finish his stellar season.  A decent alternative here is Diop (20% Fantrax), as the big defender faces a trip to Watford.  Diop has bagged double figure returns in each of his last two appearances, as West Ham have gained back to back clean sheets.

GW38 Points Scored:  6

🦅 DEF: Scott Dann 🦅

Team:  Crystal Palace

Opponent:  Bournemouth (Home)

Ownership:  8% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  7.7 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  Dann has performed very well since he was given a chance in the side after injuries to fellow centre backs Sakho and Tomkins.  The veteran has averaged 7.7 points per game since March 30th, and should score well once again this weekend, as Palace face Bournemouth at home.  Dann will be looking to end the season strongly, and convince Hodgson to keep him in his plans for next season!  Manchester City captain Kompany (40% Fantrax) looks to be a great GW38 option after his goal scoring display last time around.  The Belgian has started the last three Premier League games, keeping clean sheets in all of them.  Sign him up if you can (we would have 100% included him in these picks if we hadn’t decided on doing an uber differential edition)!

GW38 Points Scored:  0

🏠 DEF: Joe Bryan 🏠

Team:  Fulham

Opponent:  Newcastle (Home)

Ownership:  6% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  8.5 (since Mar 30)

Prospects:  Left-back Bryan has been playing very well in recent weeks, as Fulham have finally found their feet in the Premier League.  We successfully backed him in GW36, as Fulham gained a clean sheet against Cardiff, so we’re going back for more as The Cottagers face Newcastle in GW38.  We’re not fully convinced by a Fulham cleanie, but Bryan should still score fairly well.  He’s averaged 8.5 points per game in recent weeks.  Team mate Chambers (39% Fantrax) is a good alternative if you can afford a Fulham defender with slightly higher ownership!

GW38 Points Scored:  0.25

🍒 GK: Mark Travers 🍒

Team:  Bournemouth

Opponent:  Crystal Palace (Away)

Ownership:  1% (Fantrax)

Average Points Per Game:  18.3 (since Mar 30) 🔥🔥🔥

Prospects:  Ever heard of this Chap before his heroic Premier League debut against Tottenham in GW37?  Didn’t think so.  Mark Travers was given a chance by Eddie Howe, and bagged himself a clean sheet, and 18.25 points, during a famous 1-0 victory for The Cherries.  Bournemouth have been struggling to find a consistent goalkeeper this season, with Begovic and Boruc sharing playing time…  Travers may just be the solution ahead of next season!  This weekend Bournemouth face a trip to Crystal Palace.  We’re expecting both teams to score, but Travers should be in for another good score based on the number of saves he’s likely to make.  Rico (9% Fantrax) is another huge goalkeeper differential who could score well as Fulham host Newcastle.  The Spaniard has averaged 11.2 points per game since March 30th.

GW38 Points Scored:  -1.75

GW38 Team Points:  86.5

GW38 Team Average Score:  7.8 points per player

GW38 Average Ownership:  6%
